I am at Robins Air Force Base again in Georgia and this time I have a nice room compared to six months ago when I was here simple but nice Wi-Fi I'm here for five days today's Monday I leave on Friday going to brief I'll share with you what this place is like compared to last time good day YouTube I am at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and this is the headquarters for Air Force Reserve which is what I want to talk about today I am here for a personnel for Support Squadron which is my career field for Support Squadron Conference, and I'm here for a few days getting to actually listen to a lot of briefers with the latest and greatest and tomorrow I present as well, so I'm here for a few days and what's interesting is I'm actually running into a lot of people that I've known from past assignments whether it was active duty and they're now reservists or other reserve jobs that I've had and let me talk about, so those are the faces that I'm familiar with at the same time I get to meet a lot of great new people and that's one of the things that I like is I just met an individual from Minneapolis and other bases as well or some sharp people I'll talk about that in just a moment let me talk about some of the statuses that have you ever thought about joining the Air Force Reserve even if you have no military experience or if you are in another service or were in another service or our active duty and are thinking hey maybe the Reserve is a good option for me, I've actually talked about that I made a video I'll put a link up there that said if you're thinking of leaving active duty go Air Force Reserve or Air Force Guard I speak about the Air Force because that's my experience many statuses traditional reservists is the deity's status where you work when we get a month, and you're two weeks a year I've done that before for about six years art air reserve technician you're actually dual status you are a civilian during the week, and then you do your traditional Reserve weekend one weekend a month as well and your two weeks of annual tour as well, so that's do or start status that's an individual who's in uniform Monday through Friday, but that person is technically during the week a civilian they just have to wear the uniform, so that's Air Reserve technician that's another status I have a friend here who is a traditional reservist another individual who is an art, and I'm an AGR active Guard Reserve, so I work for the Air Force Reserve on active duty I'm on a three-year tour there's also an IMA that's another status individual mobilized augmented I've talked about this before like I said and that's a good option as well because you actually are assigned to an active duty component to an active duty job where you backfill that person and within IMA you do your 12 years I believe excuse me your 12 days and then your two weeks out of the year it's something like that, but there's a lot of statuses that follow me the Air Force Reserve and that's flexible,...
